Most people need a full spectrum of sensory input to comprehend a message. Much of the web-based world is visually stimulating, but lacking in the professional sound that makes people move to action.
Our brains remember things best when both hemispheres are stimulated. Straight facts bombard our left brain but don’t provide the context for us to remember why we need to know or care about those facts. It’s why you can’t remember all those dates in history that you spit out for tests back in high school.
When you hear a story about a person, the facts become personal. You remember the message and care about the information. Not only is a well-told story of your business more likely to boost your sales or increase your client base, the stories of your clients, your personal experiences and the details of your life will help you connect better with people and make you more successful.
